Margaree Salmon Association Alerted to Clear Cutting Above Sanctuary
Northeast Margaree, NS – The Margaree Salmon Association (MSA) has been alerted to imminent clear-cutting in the Margaree watershed. Long-term impact on the Margaree River may be significant.
For a limited time, the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites public viewing and commentary on proposed cutting sites on their Harvest Plans Map Viewer found at https://nsgi.novascotia.ca/hpmv/
Once you accept disclaimer, anyone can view map and cutting information and submit comments directly to DNR. Opportunity to comment closes June 30th.
MSA is actively pursuing face-to-face meetings with interested parties in this proposed cutting. It will report to its membership by the end of June.
