All sections of the Margaree River now open for angling- Sept 25

September 25, 2025 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) wishes to
inform the public that recreational angling will reopen on the Margaree River, Nova Scotia.

The reopening will be in effect THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 AT 6 PM.

The lifting of restrictions is in line with the strategy implemented in collaboration with local partners to respond to warm water conditions.

All sections of the Margaree River (below the sanctuary above the Big Intervale Bridge) are now open for angling
