“It’s like a church”: Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) hatchery and stocking programs as producers of capital in conservation-based social networks in Nova Scotia, Canada

MSA is pleased to announce that Katherine Dalby and Dr. Hannah Harrison have published an article based on research conducted in Margaree, among other locations across Nova Scotia. 

 

Their article ‘“It’s like a church”: Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) hatchery and stocking programs as producers of capital in conservation-based social networks in Nova Scotia, Canada’ explores the vast networks of connections between different groups, from NGO, to Indigenous, to Government, that hatcheries facilitate.
